We have an outstanding opportunity for a Creative Director based in the vibrant Chicagoland area! As the Creative Director, you will spearhead our client's design team and orchestrate the creative production process for a diverse array of print, email, and microsite communications projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team consisting of three Senior Graphic Designers, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to brand standards in print and email marketing materials.
- Create and oversee the development of over print and email communications annually, focusing on integrated recruitment materials to drive inquiries, applications, and enrollments while maintaining brand consistency.
- Provide expert guidance on brand and graphic design to senior stakeholders for strategic initiatives, managing vendor relationships for impactful marketing campaigns.
- Enforce brand standards rigorously, efficiently manage photography resources, and ensure compliance with logo policies across all materials.
- Manage a department of four staff members, oversee external vendors, and handle project budgets effectively.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Manager
- Education: Bachelors (required)
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in graphic design; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Comprehensive portfolio demonstrating intricate and impactful professional publication projects is essential.
- Strong project management background with 7-10 years of experience, focusing on visual design, print production, and familiarity with design trends.
- Proven leadership skills showcased through a history of progressively challenging roles. Experience in overseeing both internal teams and external partners like vendors and agencies is crucial.
- Proficiency in advanced computer software and design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite 6.0 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), QuarkXPress, and word processing software.
- Track record of effective collaboration within cross-functional teams and the ability to translate communication objectives into design solutions.
