Compensation Range: $25 - 27 per hour
Cella is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join the in-house agency and Content Center of Excellence for our client, a multinational information conglomerate, for a 9-month contract opportunity!
Designers must be local to St. Paul, MN since this person will be required to be onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Responsibilities:
- Create and design various materials for both print and digital platforms.
- Critically read and analyze creative briefs, understand project scope, and identify any additional information required to confidently and successfully execute designs.
- Efficiently and proactively communicate and collaborate with project managers, copywriters, creatives, and marketing partners on projects.
- Learn and advocate for the company's brand guidelines; thoughtfully and critically design using established visual identity system.
- Ensure projects are completed to a high standard and on schedule.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications.
- Collaborate with the studio leads and team members to develop design concepts.
- Work directly with internal stakeholders to finalize design requests.
- Proof and prepare files for print production.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Entry Level
- Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in graphic design.
- Firm understanding of editorial design, layouts, and templates.
- Experience with digital advertising, web, and social media formats, design specifications, and best practices.
- Basic animation experience for digital advertising and social platforms preferred.
- Proficient within Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience with print file finalization and print production coordination.
- Strategic and creative thinker able to interpret stakeholder requests and evolve them into meaningful design deliverables.
- Independent, proactive worker able to manage time and tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good organization skills, forward thinking and multitasking.
